Victim who undergoes chronic or long term exposure to
emotional trauma, with little or no chance of escape will suffer from Complex

Many children with complex PTSD suffer a variety of traumatic events, such as
- physical and sexual abuse,
- witnessing domestic and community violence,
- separation from family members

Complex trauma can affect a child’s physiology, emotions, ability to think, judge, and concentrate, negative patterns of thinking, self-image, and relationships with others.
